- Take of coftus, or in its ftead zedoary, cinnamon, long pepper, black pepper, (ftorax, galbanum, opium, ftrained), Ruflia caftor, each two ounces ; fnnple fyrup, boiled to the confidence of honey, thrice the weight of the other in- gredients.
- Warm the fyrup, and carefully mix with, it the opium^ firft difiolved in wine : gradually add this mixture, whilft it continues warm, to the ftorax and galbanum, previoufiy melted together ; and afterwards fprinkle in the ether fpecies reduced into powder.
