Method as extracted

1. Take of Hydrochlorate of Morphia, six grains ;
2. Melt the wax and oil of theobroma with a gentle heat, then add the hydrochlorate of morphia and benzoated lard previously rubbed together in a mortar, and mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
3. Pour the mixture while it is fluid into suitable moulds of the capacity of fifteen grains ; or the fluid mixture may be allowed to cool, and then be divided into twelve equal parts, each of which shall be made into a conical or other convenient^ form for a suppository.
4. Mix the acid, the spirit, 'and the water, and dissolve the acetate of morphia in the mixture
