Method as extracted
- Take of Borax, one drachm ;
- Take of the dried petals of Rosa gallica, four ounces ;
- Infuse the petals in the water for six hours ; strain and squeeze ; let the impurities sub- side ; pour off the clear liquor ; mix the honey with it ; and evaporate the whole in the vapour-bath to the consistence of syrup, re- moving the scum which forms.
